Scholarships Available for Lancaster County Medical Students
Physician shortages are projected for Lancaster County in the near future according to the Pennsylvania Medical Society’s “State of Medicine.” Some specialties are already experiencing this trend. The Lancaster City & County Medical Society is encouraging medical students from Lancaster County to return here to practice their profession through its Foundation Scholarship. While applicant’s do not need to commit to practicing in Lancaster County, it is hoped the option will be considered.
Again this year, local residents are encouraged to apply. Deadline for application is July 1, 2012.
